2010 is finally here!  This is the beginning of a new decade.  A year to step back and say what do I want out of my life.   What do I expect out of my life.  It is difficult to achieve anything unless you have a vision of what you want achieve.   This first week of the new year is a perfect time to sit down and create a vision board and /or write down exactly what you want.   This is the time to do it.  The best way to achieve your goals is to make them more solid and attainable.  If you can describe it  and visualize it, you can manifest it.  If you are unsure of what you want then sit in a quiet space and clear your mind.  Ask yourself what you want.  The answer may be more money, more time, more fun, or more love. Your answer may be very general or very specific.  After you have an overall goal then clear your mind of everything except for your goal. Feel what it would be like to accomplish your goal.  Close your eyes and see it, know it, express it.  Feel the story.  Dream your Dream.

While your goal is still fresh in your head, write down how it felt and what you saw.  Write yourself a letter explaining to yourself as though it has already happened.  This is for you and no one else.  Writing it out makes the dream more tangible.   When the goal is clear and written out, it is time to write your plan on how you will achieve it.  Even if parts of the plan seem impossible, just write it out.  Let your mind know that it can happen.  You are very capable and very powerful.   Life situations can change drastically or new opportunities can just appear.   Be open and ready.   By having everything defined you will be one step ahead. You will have a road map that takes you where you want to be.

I know that 2010 will be a very powerful and prosperous year.  It will provide many opportunities for all of us to grow, enjoy and inspire.  Keep your mind open.  Listen to your inner voice.  Explore your options. You are amazing!!! This is your year to Shine!!   Happy New Year!

Some days you need more courage than others or at least it feels that way.  When the days become unbearable to get up in the morning for fear of the unknown, you need a little courage.  When there is too much pressure from family and work, you need a little courage.  Your parents are sick and your driving them back and forth from the hospital, working and taking care of your family, you need a little courage. The bills are piling up and the debt collectors will not leave you alone, you need a little courage.  Your husband is in the military and has been deployed overseas, you need a little courage.  You were just laid off from your job and you don’t know what your going to do, you need a little Courage.

The definition of Courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain, etc., without fear. Life can test our limits sometimes. There are times when fear of the unknown can be overwhelming.  Courage is an important quality to get you through these time. An inner strength and knowledge that everything will work out. It helps you get up in the morning, make a plan and go to work.  Courage is a great quality that pushes us to get to another level in our journey of life.

I would like to think of every day as an opportunity to learn something new.  When challenges are presented to you, know that you have the courage and strength to overcome them and become a better person in the end.  I love this  quote from Alan Cohen  “It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.”

Here are some beautiful products to remind you of the courage you possess everyday!

Have a Blessed Day!

Set up a rule today to stop all sarcasm in your home. Sarcasm is a form of humor that uses sharp, cutting remarks or language intended to mock, wound, or ridicule.   It is very habit forming and many people use this form of communication every day. It’s negative. It can sound really cute, witty and smart but in reality it is very degrading and not supportive.  It undercuts the one you are speaking to which in the long run undercuts the whole relationship.

Your goal should be to keep love in your heart and communicate in a supportive manner.  You care about the people in your home and they care about you.  If not then someone needs to leave.  You do not need to live in an environment of constant negativity.  It is bad for your health, your mind and your self esteem.  You deserve better and the more you know you deserve better the more your life will be better.  Stating that love is spoken here reminds everyone in your household what you expect.  This is your sanctuary, yours space, your home and love should be spoken here every day.

Here is our beautiful wall hanging to start the change.

The official definition for Peace is a state of tranquility or quiet: as freedom from civil disturbance; a state of security or order within a community provided for by law or custom; freedom from disquieting or oppressive thoughts or emotions; harmony in personal relationships….  The definition actually goes on for two more paragraphs.  I think I will leave it to what most people define it as.  For me the most important part of Peace is harmony in personal relationships.  If we can all manage harmony in our personal relationships and in our inner self we could establish peace in all aspects of government and communities. I know that sounds like a tall order, but remember my last post on ”Be the change you want to see in the world”.  To expect Peace in the world you must expect Peace in yourself.   What does that mean?  Strive to be at peace mentally and spiritually with the wisdom and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of anger, despair or stress.  Inner Peace heals the body and inspires the mind.  I have been a believer of affirmations for many years.  You will be hard pressed to find any self help program anywhere that does not include affirmations.  They may call it something different but in some way they are trying to rewire your mind through positive repetition. The mind needs to be told how you want to live your life.  You have billions of neurons that have been prewired from previous generational thinking and your childhood.  Anger, aggravation, self pity are not who you are.  They are emotions that you can control by finding inner peace. Continually repeating affirmations with conviction and passion will chip away at even the strongest resistance.

Here are few great affirmations to find your own inner peace.

  •  I radiate peace and love out to others, helping them to be in peace and in love as well.
  • All my relationships are loving and harmonious
  • I am at peace

Find Peace in yourself and your life will reflect it.   Here are some beautiful reminder.

Peace and Love,  Stephanie

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” ~ Mahatma Ghandi . What
a profound and self-empowering statement. Arun Gandhi, Mahatma Ghandi’s Son, was
asked within what content did Mahatma make the famous quote above. He stated the
following “Well he said this when he was speaking after prayer service and
he mentioned this because people kept saying to him that the world has to change
for us to change. He said, “No, the world will not change if we don’t change.”
So we have to make the beginning ourselves. It has always been our human nature
to blame someone else for everything that is happening. It’s never us. We are
never at fault. And he tried to make us realize that we are just as much in the
fault as anybody else. Unless we change ourselves and help people around us change,
nobody will change because then everybody will be waiting for the other person
to change.” Mahatma Ghandi got it. We must change ourselves to be more honest
people. Individual who are fiscally responsible, take the time and energy to care
for our families, our career, our friends and our neighbors. Volunteer for causes we
believe in. We are all responsible for making this world a better place. Being
an ethically responsible individual in every aspect of our lives.

When one person stands up for what is right, others listen. The others may not want to listen at the
time but their subconscious knows what is right. Hopefully next time the others
may stand up and do what is right.

How can we expect our industries to be conservative with the environment when we drive gas guzzling vehicles and throw huge amounts of trash away every day.
Companies, Non-profits and Governments are run by people,
you probably work for one. Maybe you are a clerk in a large government office
that finds a two page form which is printed over 100,000 times every day across
the country and you ask does it have to be two pages long? The information is
redundant. Can we make this process easier and reduce the form down to one page
or eliminate it? Has this process been handed down from a policy of 20 years ago?
You bring it to the attention of the right people, through the right channels
and you might just save a thousand trees, reduce the carbon output, reduce the
amount of trash in the landfills. Take some time to watch the TED 2008 presentation
by Chris Jordon. He has attempted through art to show the sheer volume of human
consumption. http://www.ted.com/talks/chris_jordan_pictures_some_shocking_stats.html
How you use your resources can change the world. If you make a positive change
and your neighbor or your coworker sees it and they change, then the domino effect
happens. You may have just changed the world unknowingly for the better. I started
The Positive Store because there is so much power in words. If you wear a necklace
that states “LOVE” that reminder is not just for you. Its for everyone
you meet that day. Say you go to the Bank and a complete stranger passes by you
and glances down at your necklace. He has had a pretty rotten day. That word registers
in his subconscious and he feels a little better through out the rest of entire
day. Which might affect the day of everyone he meets. The Positive Domino Effect.
How you think of yourself effect everyone in your life. If you have bad day that
negative energy passes right to your family and to your coworkers. Possibly affecting
everyone they meet. What a terrible cycle. Luckly it works the other way. If you
have a great day that positive energy passes to everyone you meet. A smile is
very contagious. Reminders are great to keep that positive energy going.

Be the Change you wish to see in the world! The rest of us need your positive
energy!

Here are some great reminders.

There are many layers to creating – Inspiration, Imaging, Planning and Doing it.  They don’t always happen in that order.  You don’t necessary need to know what you are creating.  It doesn’t have to be completely defined.   When you create a sculpture or a painting there are times when the creation just starts to evolve as you do it.  The process of creating allows the image to come through.  You may know you want to paint a mountain, so you start to outline the mountain peaks and the snow flowing down the side. You stand back and a feeling comes over you to add more details. So a stream evolves with beautiful pine trees cascading over one side of the shore.  A lush green meadow expands on the opposite side of the canvas and there a small cabin appears with two children dancing between clean sheets rustling in the wind.    All the while original mountains graciously stand in background.   Here is an instance where creation just flowed as the artist painted it.

You must give yourself time to create, so when the process of creation grabs hold of you, you will feel time stop.  An energy starts to flow through you that lifts you up.  You start to floats with inspiration.  Create ~ a word that correlates very closely with Creation – a divine intervention.  There is no bigger high then when you are in the flow of creation.   Everything just comes together, you melt with the universe.

The Positive Store has many products that remind you to Create because to create anything you must start.  Talking about it, is not doing it.  Put the energy behind what you want to create and see how it carries you to the next level.  It may not be exactly what you envisioned but the sheer process of creating will bring you closer to what you want to accomplish.   Just do it!

I am very proud to announce the creation of  The Positive Store.  A new online store providing reminders to live a positive life. www.ThePositiveStore.net   Why do we need reminder?  Well, most of us live lives with a combination of positive and negative events.  We know how our energy levels soar when we experience a joyful positive event. Our brains are clearer and our bodies are happier.  We also know how our energy gets sucked out of us when there are negative events. Many of us have negative reminder from the mainstream  news, sarcastic family members or co-worker, scowling clerks at the grocery store, stressful jobs, bill collectors, strangers beeping at us in our car, radio announcers screaming in our ears and so on and so on….  Some days we need reminders that these events are not who we are.  We live better lives when we keep our attitudes positive.  We can not always control the situations that come into our live but we can control the way we react to them.  We can convert negative situations to positive situations with our positive reactions.

This is the first blog that I have ever written.  I am not a professional writer. I am the owner of The Positive Store.  I have worked many months finding and categorizing products to make it easier for you to find the statement that will reminded you of the joy in your life, to dig deep and find the strength to move forward in an uncomfortable situation, or to inspire you to change your world for the better.

Let me know what you think about our products.  Let us know how our products helped you through a difficult time in your life or inspired you to create something wonderful.

I am so grateful for sharing these products with you.  Please remember we are all capable of living a  positive life.

Sincerely,  Stephanie Perry,  owner, www.ThePositiveStore.net
